Wooden Farm

A GOOD crowd ensured a great trade from start to finish, with several items selling for more than their original purchase price at the sale of arable and livestock equipment, vehicles and machinery at Wooden Farm, on behalf of Gordon Farr, who is retiring.

Conducted by Border Livestock, the meticulously maintained machinery peaked at £22,000 for a Deutz Agriton 150 tractor, followed at £10,600 for a Welger RP 235 baler.

Hutton Hall Barns

IT was a cracking morning at the on-farm sale of machinery at Hutton Hall Barns, conducted by Harrison and Hetherington on behalf of James and Angela MacLean, of MacLean and Co and Border Eggs.

With a crowd of buyers forward to see the immaculately presented machinery, a top of £36,000 was paid for a 2001-registered John Deere 9780 CTS Hillmaster combine that came with 25ft header and electric sideknife, followed at £21,000 for a 2003 New Holland TG285 tractor

Pentland vintage auction

THE Tractor World Scotland show at Ingliston, Edinburgh, was hailed a huge success where the combination of a show and quality auction complemented each other, resulting in a fantastic crowd enjoying both events throughout the weekend.

The auction was conducted by Pentland Livestock and with items selling to 222 customers from all over the UK and Ireland, it was a Rolls Royce 2530, an original which was first registered in 1929 and came complete with a v5 document, topped the sale at £37,000.

A one-off Ford TW20 prototype was next in the trade stakes at £16,000. It was registered in 1981 and came with 3756 hours on the clock.
