LIVESTOCK farmers are invited to attend one of the remaining three ‘Fundamentals of grazing for growth’ meetings being organised by Quality Meat Scotland as part of its Better Grazing programme.
Now moving into its second year, the main objective of the QMS Better Grazing groups is to improve livestock producers’ profitability through the better use of grazed grass.
Poppy Frater, a sheep and grassland specialist from SAC Consulting, part of SRUC’s Scotland’s Rural College will be the key speaker at the meetings.
The final three Better Grazing meetings will be held on the following dates:
Friday, June 1, at Carfraemill Hotel, Lauder, TD2 6RA
Tuesday, June 5, at Bluesky Experiences, Bachilton House, Methven, Perth, PH1 3QX
Thursday, June 7, at Thainstone, Inverurie, AB51 5XZ
Attendance at these workshops is free and lunch will be provided. Please ensure you have clean, disinfectable footwear for the farm visit.
