ON offer at Dingwall and Highland Marts’ Dingwall centre, last week, was a selection of Blackface rams at a show and sale which saw a top of £1800 paid for a two-shear from WG MacPherson, Blackford.
The same home also sold the reserve champion, another two-shear, for £1300 to Clune and Corrybrough Estates, Tomatin.
Also selling for £1300 was a shearling from A and J MacPherson, Abersky, Torness, while the champion, a shearling from MacIntyre and MacIntosh, Croft Na Garn, Boat of Garten, sold to the judge, Neil Shaw, Midfearn Farm, for £1250.
Ram lambs reached £500 twice from R Marshall, Strathurr, Glenrinnes.
Overall, the 119 shearlings levelled at £406.39 with 23 ages rams at £413.04 and 27 ram lambs at £126.78.
