A positive trade prevailed throughout at Harrison and Hetherington's annual sale of Easy Care sheep at Carlisle, which attracted an entry of 450 females and 63 rams.
Topping the trade was a shearling ram from Derek Steen of Whitcastles, Corrie, Lockerbie, which made 1000gns to Kevin Davidson, Saline, Dunfermline.
Whitcastles also received 600gns for another shearling, from S Duncan of Co Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Females peaked at £130 per head for a pen of gimmers from Brownrigg Hall Farms, Allonby, Maryport, purchased by LE Harrison of Barnard Castle.
