TEXELS from Charlie Boden's Sportsmans flock, picked up the lead prices at the Winter Warmers multi-breed sale of pedigree females at Newark, securing the majority of lead sales including the 3500gns high.
Selling at this bracket was the best from Mr Boden's flock from Stockport, purchased by Paul Delves buying for his Bridgeview flock from Churchstoke, Powys.
An ET bred daughter of the 145,000gns Knap Vicious Sid, out of a dam by the 42,000gns Tullylagan Tonka, she sold carrying twins to the 52,000gns Clinterty Yogi Bear.
The exact same genetics were behind the second top priced lot from the same home, when the reserve winner at the pre-sale show made 2800gns to Henry Ashley and family for their Lincs flock, Boston.
And, at 2000gns, Sportmans sold a Procters Ventura-sired gimmer out of a Milnbank Special One daughter, to Steve Richardson, buying for the Stonebridge flock, Barnsley.
Leading the Beltex entry at 1600gns was Andrew and Becky Bishop’s champion from the pre-sale show, a gimmer by Figaro V/D Laatste Stuiver, Bishops Alice. She is out of a dam by Dooley Nutter and sold to Emily South, Wendover, Bucks.
