RAM lambs from AG and KF Nicholson, Swinside End, topped the annual show and sale of Bluefaced Leicesters at Cockermouth, attracting the three lead prices at £2700, £1500 and £1400.
The dearest, a ram lamb by a G023 Marriforth, was knocked down to RJ and AY Armstrong, Terrace Farm.
The pre-sale show, judged by Matthew Emmott, Wythop Hall, was a ram lamb from WC Porter and Son, Riddings, which made £850 selling to J and H Greenbank, The Faulds.
Reserve was a shearling from RJ and AY Armstrong, that later sold for JG Wilson, Far End.
