Neil Marston's Highberries flock from Millstone Moor, Cockermouth, produced the champion winner and sale leader at Harrison and Hetherington's annual crossing Bluefaced Leicester sale at Kirkby Stephen, when his show stopper sold for £10,000.

His lamb, a Highberries Highlander-sired entry, was purchased jointly by Allan Wight, Midlock, Crawford and the firm of WC Porter and Sons of the Riddings flock from Healaugh, Richmond.

Judge Alan Watson of the Middleton Hall flock from Kirkby Lonsdale, found his reserve in the first prize shearling ram from Allan Wight, Midlock. He is by Midlock Mustang and sold to JF and F Hutchinson, Woodland.

The sale which had a catalogued entry of 275, saw a Hewgill H45-sired lamb from local breeders, Messrs Lord, West Dowgill, Stainmore, make £8000, selling to EG Bulman, Northallerton.
