SHEEP from Messrs Lord's Hewgill flock from West Dowgill, Kirkby Stephen, dominated proceedings at Penrith and District Farmers' Evening show and sale of Bluefaced Leicesters at Penrith, securing the champion and reserve honours as well as the lead prices.
Their show and sale leader at £9000, a shearling ram, is by a G23 Marriforth, an £8000 purchase at Hawes, and sold MW Skidmore, North Hanging Wells.
Ram lambs sold to £2500 for the second prize lamb, also from Hewgill, which sold to TP Wigham, Hargill House. It was by the home-bred H45 Hewgill.
