Sunnybank Empress, a Dutch Spotted ewe topped Henry Jewitt’s Jewitt and Sunnybank Selection Box sale, from Romaldkirk, Co Durham, when selling for the top price of 5000gns.

The sale, at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, was led by the 2021-born entry which is a result of the sire, Lochlad Dictator onto an imported dam. She sold scanned carrying a single lamb to Diamond Ferguson, to David Roberts of the Boyo flock from Kenley, Shrewsbury, who also bought his own similarly bred aged ewe, Boyo Ellie Mae, for 2500gns. She is also by Lochlad Dictator, out of an imported ewe and again scanned a single to Diamond Ferguson.
