TRACTOR THEFTS POINTS TO IRELAND
Scottish police crossed the Irish Sea this week in pursuit of more than £60,000 worth of tractors, which were stolen from Perthshire, recently and are now working on positive lines of enquiry.
A break-in at Earnvale Tractors, in Balbeggie, two weekends ago, saw £66,000 worth of distinctive green and yellow John Deere tractors and a quantity of red diesel taken by thieves.
The three tractors and the fuel are believed to have been placed on a curtain-sided, articulated Leyland DAF lorry, which was towing a trailer.
