ENERGY and infrastructure experts from independent property consultancy CKD Galbraith will be on hand at the Royal Highland Show.
The firm is inviting visitors to its marquee on Avenue O, behind the grandstand, to share insights on biomass, hydro, solar, wind and telecoms and the various financial incentives that are available.
CKD Galbraith has carved out a niche in renewable energy and infrastructure due to its long record of serving rural clients and communities, and is always talking to developers and landowners about new projects to maximise returns as well as assessing options for existing installations, such as repowering, decommissioning and reviewing lease terms.
“In the past we had the sort of inquiries you’d traditionally expect at major rural events – about land use and valuations,” said Calum Innes, head of the firm’s energy team. “Now a substantial proportion of both initial approaches, and our work for rural clients, is very much focused on renewable energy and services such as telecoms, electricity, transport and water where they interact with farming communities.
"That is why it is important that clients receive professional advice that is holistic, addressing energy, building surveying, forestry and planning," he added.
“The fact that financial incentives are changing is a testament to the successful growth and take-up of renewable energy – we see the overall positive trends continuing,” he added.
