The annual NPS show at Highfield at Howe Equestrian had a good representation from all the native breeds from throughout Scotland.

The supreme ridden pony of the day went to Inverness-based Katie Common’s Connemara stallion, Cahanaghs Golden Boy, ridden by Beth Simpson. This seven-year-old dun stallion, by Western Boy out of Belle Fire, went beautifully in the championship to take the supreme ridden.

Supreme in hand was Sue Williamson’s Chiddock Shooting Times. The three-year-old gelding, by Chiddock Time Limit out of Fairholme Rosetta Rhythm, was topping having a very successful showing season.

The reserve supreme in hand was Donald Anderson’s supreme mountain and moorland in hand winner, Rekcilf Vogue, a black Dartmoor yearling which was on its first outing.

The working hunter title went to Gwen Rae’s Fell Greenholme Emblem, ridden by Kirsty Aird
