NATIONAL HUNT jockey AP McCoy has became the first jocket to win 4,000 winners.
The 18-time champion reached the 4,000 mark on Mountain Tunes in the 15:10 race at Towcester on Thursday.
"It was just amazing, it couldn't have worked out any better," said McCoy, 39, afterwards.
Mountain Tunes is trained by Jonjo O'Neill and owned by JP McManus.
"To do it for Jonjo and the McManus's is brilliant as they've been so good to me," he said. "It was always, hopefully, going to be in JP's colours."
