This years's Hopetoun International Horse Trials will have some changes including the name which changes to Hopetoun Town and Country Fair on July 27-28.

The July date will host CIC1*, CIC2* and CIC3*.

"There have been several events lost in Scotland, so it was great news that Hopetoun will host a grass roots event at the end of June. There are major building projects at Hopetoun so we will be unable to run five sections in July, the June event will therefore enable us to continue to support grass roots riders," explained organiser Stuart Buntine.

"Hopetoun will host CIC1*, CIC2* and CIC3* in July and this year there are some major changes to the site. All stabling and parking will now be in the park, with dressage on the flat arenas, and showjumping in front of the house on the lawn.

"Those who have been to Hopetoun will agree that this will be an amazing backdrop to the event. We hope that with three international classes many will make the trip north. We will also be increasing the prize money so hopefully it will be well worth the trip. We are very grateful to Gillespie Macandrew for their continuing sponsorship, helping the event to grow. This year the event will be re named Hopetoun Town and Country Fair, this will see an increase in other activities at the event."
