This weekend's Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials will see Andrew Nicholson and William Fox-Pitt go for the Rolex grand slam of eventing.

Andrew won last weekend's Rolex Kentucky 2013 with Quimbo, and qualified for the last round of the $350,000 prize, after winning the first leg at Burghley last year.

As Badminton was rained off last year, William's wins at Burghley in 2011 and Kentucky in 2012 have been carried over to offer him a chance at the bonus this year.

William has Parklane Hawk, Lionheart and Cool Mountain entered, while New Zeland rider Andrew Nicholson chances rest on Nereo and Mr Cruise Control.

Scotland is well represented in the Grassroots championships – with Caitlin Padfield, Daniella Page and Carolyn Gospel in the BE90 championships and Gill Tarbet, Jane Gilchrist, Olivia Leyland and Isabella Mackenzie in the BE100 contest.

Competing in the main Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials this weekend are Charlotte Agnew, Emily Galbraith, Louisa Milne-Home, Nicky Roncoroni and Olivia Wilmot.
