A new British Eventing (BE) fixture has been announced for the BE Northern region for 2014

Warwick Hall, near Carlisle, will run in spring 2014 on May 3/4 with classes at BE80(T) through to novice level.

Event organiser Douglas Weymouth will be organising the event in addition to his impressive portfolio of Northern events including Eden Valley and Hutton in the Forest.

"Our new Warwick Hall venue came about more by chance and coincidence rather than great planning!," explained organiser Douglas Edward.

"There is a perpetual search in the region for sandy venues ideal to run horse trials over, so following a BE regional meeting and getting to know the landowner Nick Marriner through my wife Lucinda's parents, we were invited to look around the estate in the spring.

"Nick said he had always thought the estate might make a good place for the horses to gallop over since it is entirely on sand. With the River Eden running close by and the permanent parkland with its wonderful trees and woods providing some very interesting features to tackle, Nick generously agreed to host a new BE event."

It is located just a few miles from the M6 motorway and just off the A69.
