Abbey-sponsored top carriage driver Georgina Frith is back in the driving seat following her maternity break and has started the season on excellent form.

Driving her four in-hand team, Georgina recently attended Ashfields in Essex finishing in fifth place overall in a strong international field of 12. This was a fantastic result for Georgina’s first national event since the birth of daughter Sophie.

Said Georgina: “I have to confess to a little ‘nappy brain’ – I definitely found it harder to learn and memorise the intricate routes of the marathon obstacles, but was delighted to come second in the dressage just behind the maestro George Bowman and ahead of the indoor world champion Boyd Exell.  We scored two nines and a ten for presentation which of course contribution of the collars from Abbey will have helped with.”

Following Ashfields Georgina attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show and came third in the dressage (only 0.5 behind Tucker Johnson). Overall she finished in sixth place, second place out of the British competitors in a field of 20.
