AN exciting new team is to head both the jumpcross training and competition days at Brechin Castle, as well as all the showfield events.
The organising and running has been taken over by Val Blewitt who has many years experience in the equine world.
No stranger to jumpcross, Val has jump judged at Brechin Castle frequently and her daughter Katie has been a keen competitor since jumpcross first came to Scotland.
The course at Brechin Castle is set in beautiful woodland and parkland and will continue to be carefully maintained by Ian Christie who is the course builder and designer. Ian, who is the head forester at Brechin Castle, is part of the original team who built the first jumpcross course in Scotland – at Brechin Castle.
Val takes over jumpcross from Alison Duff – who has been at Brechin Castle for 10 years.
The planned training dates are on Sunday, May 30, Sunday, June 20, Sunday Sept 19, Sunday Oct 3, and Sunday November 21. Competition dates are Sunday, July 11 and Sunday Oct17.
