Keith Dalgleish wasn't on hand when his Carluke stable posted a 566-1 four-timer at Hamilton on June 18 - celebrating the achievement instead at Royal Ascot.

The feat was equally memorable for reigning champion apprentice jockey, Jason Hart, who not only completed a treble, but rode out his claim on the first of the afternoon's winners.

The Hawick jockey rode Lady Desire to an impressive win in the six-furlong maiden, before adding the one-mile handicap aboard Porthos Du Vallon.

"I wanted to jump out and make it, but he half missed the break," he explained.

Hart's 125-1 treble was completed when Jacob Black headed the maiden stakes.

The fourth Dalgleish-trained success came courtesy of Vosne Romannee, who came home in front in the 1m 2f handicap in the hands of Philip Makin.

Another two jockeys from the Borders were successful at Uttoxeter the same day.

Craig Nichol, also from Hawick, won the conditional jockeys selling hurdle on Debt to Society, while Jedburgh's Grant Cockburn rode Oliver's Gold to his fourth victory for Mark Walford's yard, in the two-mile handicap hurdle race.

Irvine jockey Danny Tudhope continued his victory trail with a two-day victory trail,

On June 19, he completed an across the card double when riding Algar Lad to win at Leicester and Hit the Jackpot at Ripon.

He was quickly back in the winner's enclosure at Ayr, riding Two for Two to head the one-mile handicap.

At the same track, Jim Goldie saddled 7-1 chance Spirit of Alsace to win the six-furlong handicap.

The following afternoon, over the jumps at Hexham, Hawick jockey Wilson renwick partnered Lyric Street to success in the novice hurdle race.

Lucinda Russell sent Imjoeking from her Milnathort stable to win the two-mile novice chase, while Jedburgh jockey Callum Bewley rode Knight Woodsman to land the three-mile handicap chase.

Jim Goldie's Glasgow stable is in great form and the yard celebrated a double at Carlisle on June 25.

Rothesay Chancer, who has posted five of his six wins at Musselburgh, headed the five-furlong handicap.

"They went fast and he finished well," explained Jim, who also saddled Another for Joe - 11lbs higher than his most recent Ayr success -to win the one-mile handicap.

At the same track the following afternoon, Jason Hart also celebrated a double.

The Hawick jockey rode Al Khan to win the six-furlong sprint, before taking the middle distance handicap on the Keith Dalgleish-trained Incurs Four Faults, who posted a decisive victory.

Dalgleish posted an across-the-card double, when successful at Newcastle the same day with Corton Lad in the 1m 2f handicap.

Danny Tudhope was also in the winner's enclosure at the meeting, riding Akabantay to win the six-furlong stakes.

Hawick handler Alistair Whillans won the seven-furlong handicap at Chester on June 27 with Ralphy Boy.

"He's a grand horse," enthused the trainer's son, Ewan. "Seven furlongs, or an easy mile suits him best," he added.

Galston-based Mike Smith landed the 1m 4f handicap at Musselburgh the same day when Eilan Mor made a successful debut over the trip.

"I've changed the way I'm feeding him," said Mike, "and he likes to bounce off the top of the ground."

Jim Goldie too the seven furlong handicap with Order of Service.

"Being drawn one was a help," he explained, "and Gary (Bartley) gave him a good ride."

At Doncaster on June 28, Danny Tudhope rode High On Life to win the five-and-a-half furlong handicap.

Jason Hart ended June with a winner when riding 8-1 chance Craggaknock to land the 1m 4f handicap at Pontefract.

Jim Goldie made a victorious start to July when Aleksandar won the 1m 4f handicap at Hamilton. "He's genuine and tough and loves fast ground," he explained.

Danny Tudope was also successful at the meeting, riding Master Bond to win the five-furlong sprint handicap, while Linda Perratt saddled Rock Canyon to a third career success when landing the concluding six-furlong handicap.
