BRITAIN'S most northerly trainer, Jackie Stephen, celebrated her 50th birthday with a winner.

The Inverurie-based handler saddled Mo Rouge to win the opener on the second day of Perth's two-day meeting, on July 3.

Rose Dobbin also had a successful meeting, accounting for her first-ever double.

The Alnwick trainer won the novice handicap hurdle race with Politeness, owned by her parents Duncan and Sarah Davidson, and ridden by Hawick jockey Wilson Rnwick.

Her second success came with Robin's Command, who made it three wins from four starts when accounting for the two-mile handicap case, in the hands of another Hawick jockey - Craig Nichol.

Under a different code, at Haydock, Irvine jockey Danny Tudhope rode Baklducei to win the one-mile handicap.

Wilson Renwick completed a double on the second day of Perth's meeting.

He rode Gabrial the Great to win the two-mile hurdle, before adding the seller aboard Top Chief.

Fife handler Nick Alexander saddled Humphrey Bee to head the novice handicap chase.

"That's the minimum trip for him," he explained.

Keith Dalgleish's stable is in great form and the Carluke handler's winning run continued at Haydock on July 4, where he saddled Wee Frankie to win the 1m 2f handicap.

At Carlisle the following evening, he completed a double when Salvatore Fury landed the five-furlong handicap and Sandra's Diamond followed suit in the seven-furlong fillies handicap.

The dual success also formed part of a four-timer for jockey Graham Lee.

There was a further Dalgleish double at Ayr on July 6, when Hanalei Bay landed the one-mile handicap, and stablemate Sound Advice made all to score over the same trip in the hands of former champion apprentice Jason Hart, from Hawick.

Jim Goldie's Newmarket purchase Testa Rossa was the 5-1 winner of the 1m 2f handicap.

Hawick handler Alistair Whillans won the second division of the six-furlong handicap when Opt Out opened his account for an 18-1 success.

Linda Perratt accounted for the first division with Jinky and the East Kilbride trainer completed a double at the same course the following afternoon when Silver Rime took won a competitive seven-furlong handicap, and Dark Crystal followed suit in the apprentice handicap.

Danny Tudhope is in great form, riding Mizzou to win the maiden stakes at Pontefract on July 8, before partnering Imperator Augustus to win the seven furlong handicap at Catterick on July 9.

The same afternoon, Degooch carried the colours of St Boswells owners Paul and Clare Rooney to head the two-and-a-half mile novices' hurdle race at Worcester in the hands of champion jockey AP McCoy.

Danny Tudhope continued his victory trail at York, riding Ladies Are Forever to win the six-furlong stakes on July 11, before partnering Gabrial's King to head the two-mile stayers stakes the following afternoon.

Keith Dalgleish was back in the winner's enclosure at Hamilton on July 12, when £10,500 breeze-up purchase Edgar Balthazar landed the opening five-furlong maiden stakes.

Jim Goldie also saddled a winner at the evening meeting when Never Forever, upped in trip, headed the 1m 3f handicap.

Over the jumps at Perth the following afternoon, Lucinda Russell celebrated success at her local track when Imjoeking posted a career-best effort to head the novice handicap chase in the hands of Hawick jockey Craig Nichol.

Linda Perratt's horses are in good form, and the East Kilbride handler recorded another double at Ayr on July 14.

Dark Crystal won over a mile to clinch victory by a neck - providing jockey Joe Fanning with his 100th winner of 2014. The stable also saw Tadalavl head the five-furlong handicap.

Jim Goldie's yard is also in great heart, and 25-1 chance Goninodaethat relished the softer conditions to record a fifth victory at the track when winning the six-furlong handicap.
