IRVINE jockey Danny Tudhope began June with an across-the-card treble – hot on the heels of a double the previous day.

After riding a double at Hamilton on June 1, he went on to add a further success on the all-weather at Newcastle.

Tudhope partnered Control Centre to an 8-1 win in the six-furlong handicap, and then headed the 1m 3f handicap on Gaelic Tiger.

He then headed for Newcastle’s evening fixture, where he rode Pilkington to an 11-1 success in the five furlong novice stakes.

Tudhope’s victorious hattrick came a day after he had completed a double at Beverley, riding Jacob’s Pillow to a 5-1 win in the five-furlong handicap, and American Craftsman to land the 1m 4 handicap.

He then added another success after riding Consequences to head the five-furlong novice stakes at Catterick, marking his sixth win in three days.

St Boswells owners, Paul and Clare Rooney, also had a winning start to June.

They saw their colours carried to victory by Titi Makfi in the fillies handicap at Hamilton on June 1.

Carluke trainer Keith Dalgleish was also in the winner’s enclosure at the meeting.

He saw 4-1 chance Amy Blair hold the Iain Jardine-trained favourite Archipeligo by a neck to win the 1m 1f handicap at his favourite track.

“He needs to make the running and just could not get to the front at Musselburgh last time,” explained the Belstane Stables trainer.

“Also the easier ground was a help.

“All his wins have come at this track and we’ll probably bring him back here after a little break,” he concluded.

Dalgleish was back in the winner’s enclosure at Doncaster on June 2 when Livella Fella landed the 1m2f fillies handicap.

Hawick jockey Jason Hart partnered Reputation to a 25-1 victory in the six-furlong handicap at Epsom on June 3.

Over the jumps at Hexham, another Hawick jockey was in winning form – Jamie Hamilton riding Hattons Hill to head the three-mile handicap chase.

Langholm jockey, Dale Irving, completed a double at the meeting.

He rode Desert Island Dusk to win the two-mile handicap hurdle race, before bringing home No Such Number to land the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase.

Northumberland trainer, Tim Reed and jockey son, Harry, teamed up to land the 2½-mile handicap chase with Indian Temple.

Hawick jockey Blair Campbell got the Lucinda Russell-trained Mighty Thunder up by a neck to head the concluding bumper.

“We’ve held off running him for a while and his owners have had to be patient,” said the Milnathort trainer.

“I am delighted for them as it’s their first winner, and they have some exciting times ahead with this horse.”

Danny Tudhope was back in the winner’s enclosure at Ayr on June 5, riding Muscika to victory in the sprint.

Glasgow handler Jim Goldie celebrated a double at the track.

He saddled Sea of Green to a 4-1 win in the six-furlong handicap, before 12-1 chance Rioja Day landed the seven-furlong equivalent.

Carrutherstown trainer Iain Jardine won the concluding handicap with Vercingetorix who stayed on well to secure an 8-1 success.

In Ireland the same afternoon, Penny Jane posted an 8-1 victory in the maiden hurdle race at Listowel for Paul and Clare Rooney.

Langholm jockey Dale Irving rode his first winner for Iain Jardine after partnering River Icon to head the mares maiden hurdle race at Cartmel on May 31.

Tom is currently based with winning trainer, Joseph O’Brien.
