DARK Crystal posted a sixth course success when heading the seven furlong handicap at Ayr on June 12.

Defying a penalty, having won at Hamilton a week earlier, the mare stayed on gamely to secure a 5-1 win for East Kilbride trainer Linda Perratt.

The success followed hot on the heels of a victory in the one-mile handicap at Hamilton five days previously.

Duncrieve trainer, Lucy Normile, also had a winner at the meeting, saddling Royal Regent to head the 1m 1f handicap.

Northumberland jockey, Amie Waugh, rode Tonto’s Spirit to win the concluding lady amateur riders’ handicap.

Keith Dalgleish has his stable in great form and the Carluke trainer added a further success to his tally when Frederic justified favouritism in the two-mile handicap at Pontefract the same evening.

The progressive stayer carries the colours of St Boswells owners, Paul and Clare Rooney.

Iain Jardine celebrated an across-the-card double on June 10.

The Carrutherstown trainer enjoyed a 9-1 success when Dragon King – on just his third outing for the Hetland Hill stable – clinched the six-furlong handicap at Chester by a short head.

Stablemate Mr Globetrotter was also in winning form, heading the two-mile handicap at Catterick.

Danny Tudhope continues in great form, and the Irvine jockey added another winner to his tally after riding Reachforthestars to a 16-1 win in the middle distance handicap at Haydock.

Hawick jockey, Jason Hart, posted his second win in two days, after riding Benjamin Thomas to win the six-furlong maiden stakes at Catterick.

Danny Tudhope completed a double at Carlisle on June 9.

He rode Shymkent to head the 1m 3f handicap, before riding Beverley Bullet to land the 1m 1f handicap.

Jason Hart also rode a winner at the Cumbrian fixture, partnering Kensington Star to win the staying handicap for Keith Dalgleish.

It was third time lucky in handicaps for the winner, clinching victory by a short head.

“He deserved to win after finishing second on his last two starts,” said the Belstane Stables trainer.

“He’s a big horse who stays all day.”

Borders owners Paul and Clare Rooney had a victory at Sandown on June 8, when Tiki Makfi won the concluding 1m 1f fillies handicap.

Danny Tudhope rode Marmion to a 5-1 win in the 1m 4f handicap at Ripon the same afternoon.

Miss Bar Beach justified favouritism to land the six-furlong novice stakes at Hamilton, on June 7, for trainer Keith Dalgleish.

The winning two-year-old will be aimed for the Albany at Royal Ascot.

Irvine jockey, Danny Tudhope, continued on-form, completing a double at Wetherby on June 6.

He rode Auxiliary to a 12-1 win in the 1m2f handicap, before riding Star Gypsy to head the maiden stakes.

At Fontwell the same afternoon, Sonneofpresenting won the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase for owners Paul and Clare Rooney.
