LIFTING the supreme championship at the Scottish Sports Horse North of the Border Foal Show, held at Inchcoonans Equestrian, was the horse youngstock champion, Balcormo Farm Partnership’s Edelweiss.

The two-year-old filly, by Amoureux, bred by Balcormo Farm Partnership out of Pollyanna, headed the youngstock championship.

Overall reserve was the pony champion, the chestnut yearling colt Scholland Royal Connection, from Scholland Stud.

Judge, Ann Chappelhowe said of her champion: "Edelweiss simply sparkled her way around the arena, it was difficult to draw my eyes away! The overall champion and reserve, whilst of different type are fine examples of good breeding. Most noticieably the temperament of both was impeccable with no loss of promise in movement and performance."

Champion horse foal was Hilltower Tinkerbelle, a SSH filly by the SSH eventing stallion King Cotton Gold, out of Behest Silver Waters by Silver Season, and bred and retained by Susan Lawrie, Milnathort. Reserve went to Peppermills Jewel, a home-bred SSH colt by KWPN grand prix showjumping stallion Peppermill, out of Sabine II by Darco shown by Jo Gollnick and Ray McEwan from Arbroath.

Pony reserve champion was the two-year-old filly Chloe, a WBxTB filly by Romeo, owned by Melissa Cudmore, Dalkeith. Best foal was awarded to Bathleyhills Colour Me In, by Painted Percy, out of Bathleyhills Dream In Colour, owned by Pamela Kerr, Larbert, and shown by her sister.

Youngstock horse reserve was Ellisonna by Solaris Stud's popular stallion Amoureux, out of Alkatinna by Solaris Stud's Umenno.
