THE AMERIGO Event Breastplate was created with the event horse in mind by Amerigo designer Peter Menet and combines a martingale and two types of breastplate in one.
The chest pad is anatomically shaped and softly padded to sit gently around the sensitive windpipe area, without causing pressure during activity.
The elasticated streamlined shoulder straps are carefully positioned so that the shoulder movement is not hindered, but also promotes a positive action on the horse’s neck muscles, encouraging it to relax and soften.
The breastplate is shown in this image with the special Amerigo bib attachment, which can be bought separately to enhance the products’ performance. The design of the bib helps prevent stallions and nervous horses chewing tack and getting hold of it and also aids riders’ manoeuvrability and steering.
