The KAN, the innovative body protector designed specifically for women, is now available to buy online from Kan Teq’s new website http://www.kanteq.com.

The KAN’s unique polyurethane foam developed by top motor bike protective wear manufacturer ‘Knox’, compresses on impact, absorbing energy and minimising the risk of serious injury. The foam fully recovers from the impact to its original state which means that it does not need to be replaced after an impact as with other body protectors. The flexibility and superior fit allow the rider to breathe deeply while providing outstanding impact protection.

The new website includes fitting guidelines and Kan Teq will also send out two KAN body protectors for customers to try out at home and ensure a perfect fit. The KAN body protector is made up of moulded parts - back, front and shoulder -and Kan Teq can provide a range of fit solutions by offering combinations of short or long back length and full or flat busted fronts. The moulded shape and smooth clean lines allow the KAN to support the back and encourage good posture. It is weightless when worn and allows the rider to move freely.

Among those who have already discovered the benefits of a KAN body protector is leading international rider and former Olympic medallist Jeanette Brakewell, who said: “This body protector allows me to breathe and maintain my own oxygen levels and performance; I find the Kan very comfortable and my movement is not restricted at all.”

Another satisfied customer is Daryl Freeman, a doctor who regularly officiates at all levels of BE eventing and competes at BE100 level.

“ I have a vested interest in safety equipment for horse riders,” explained Daryl. “I needed a new back protector and spent a great deal of time researching various options. I am only 5’ tall and wanted a well-fitted one that allowed me to ‘sit’ in the saddle and had a minimum of velcro and ‘flappy bits’ as my horse is very sharp and can’t cope with any sort of movement from the rider.

“The technology involved in the KAN is exceptional and the fit is amazing. It is incredibly comfortable to wear and allows free movement of my arms/shoulders and spine. I could sit and flex my pelvis easily and the design allows sacrum protection without impeding my ‘seat’. All in all it really is as good as it appeared.”

Designer of the KAN and managing director of Kan Teq, Wendy McCaughan, said: “ I am thrilled with the reaction to my new website. We have added the buy online due to requests and I hope by sending two KANs to new customers they will really know they’ve got the perfect fit. I am of course always on the end of the phone to answer any queries.”
