IT'S been a great spell of weather - perfect hay making and I have a hay shed bursting to the brim at home that was made last week.
From a bitterly hard and cold spring where the grass refused to grow, the cold spell has been long forgotten.
This month our nutritionist Dr Vicki Glasgow looks at dealing with too much grass and ideas to slim your horse down.
Similarly, Dr Tim Watson looks at the advances in equine medicine and bringing the vet clinic to the stable without the need to travel, therefore reducing stress and strain to the horse.
With July shows well underway there's shows and events taking place - seemingly back to back and at a fast rate of knots. There's news from Eglinton horse trials, one of Scotland's oldest, as well as the Highland Pony Breed Show. Our shows are lucky that we have the most beautiful of estates to hold events and these fit the bill perfectly!
