The Scottish Farmer's annual cake competition resulted in a nail biting climax this afternoon with Philippa Stephen's Bugs Bunny cake taking the top prize. Second was Catherine Laurenson with an impressive 'Welcome to Las Vegas, Elvis' cake, and third was taken by last year's winner Lynsey Clark with her Celebrity split cake featuring the Gallacher brothers from Oasis.

The ladies from Luss WRI have written some constructive comments which will be featured alongside pictures of all the cakes that competed.

Just to add to the tension, I will say, there is controversy over whether one of the cakes will be allowed to be featured in the picture gallery.... ooooh, the tension builds. Look out for the June 26 issue to see whether we can sneak it past the editor.
