Gareth Scott and his daughters, Abbie and Amy, from Meikle Ittington Farm, Ardrossan, are taking part in the Ayrshire Hospice Colour Dash on Sunday, September 10, in memory of his wife Fiona who sadly lost her fight with cancer last October, aged 42.

They invited family and friends to join them and aimed to get a team of 42 participants called Team Fi’s 42. More than 115 participants have signed up as part of their team so far, and the Ayrshire Hospice team met a gang of them recently! If you would like to sponsor Team Fi’s 42 please visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/team-fi-s-42

Graeme Strawhorn, senior fundraising officer, said: “We are always humbled by the wonderful support events like the Colour Dash receive, it is especially touching to have Gareth, Abbie and Amy’s support along with Team Fi’s 42 family and friends. We are looking forward to another great day for the hospice at Eglinton Park.”

Colour Dash is guaranteed to be the most colourful, fun, 5k you’ll ever run! Prepare for a kaleidoscope of colour to rain down over you and your fellow runners every kilometre, leaving you looking like a rainbow. There will be a variety of entertainment to get you warmed up beforehand and more afterwards, when you can sit back and enjoy your well-deserved hot dog or burger. And you don’t have to run – you can walk, skip or dance the distance if you want.
