Lochore Meadows will be hosting its famous annual country park open day this month, giving residents and visitors to the area the opportunity to explore Fife’s most popular visitor attraction, plus participate in the wide range of fun and free activities that are on offer.

Managed by the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, Lochore Meadows Country Park is situated in the heart of Fife and hosts a loch, beach, wildflower meadows, nine-hole golf course, parkland and ancient woodlands.

The open day, taking place on Saturday 27th August, from 10am until 4pm, will see a special guest cookery demonstration from the Fife Food Ambassador, Christopher Trotter, who will cook in front of a live audience. Plus, this year many local artisan food producers and crafters will also be in attendance on the day to celebrate the best that Fife has to offer in food and gifts.

Chris Broome, Chief Executive, Fife Coast and Countryside Trust said: “The Lochore Meadows Open Day always proves very popular with those in the local area and further afield, as it gives people the perfect chance to sample the variety of diverse activities available at Lochore Meadows”.

Some of the exciting activities available include: pony rides, Segway tours, golf cart tours around the country park, demonstrations and talks by Fife Coast and Countryside Trust’s dedicated and knowledgeable Park Rangers, putting on the golf course, and much, much more.

Entry to the Open Day is free for all of the family to enjoy the range of activities on offer, with a recommended donation of just £2 to cover parking costs, plus each car will be given a map of the events set out.
