FANCY TRYING your hand at oor Kenny Fletcher's signature dish?
Here's his recipe:
- Cook one haggis
- Roll out some puff pastry into 3/4mm
- Lay a line of the cooked (but allowed to cool) haggis along the edge of the pastry leaving about 2cm. Then roll it up from that side, and enough for it to roll right over onto the other edge of pastry. Wet the pastry on the side you are rolling it onto so it sticks
- Brush the top of the pastry with egg and cut diagonal lines into the top to let the steam out
- Then, into the oven (about 200) for 40 mins - or until the pastry has risen and is golden brown.
- Eat
The same method can be used with sausage meat to make traditional sausage rolls.
