One of the best known Holstein cows in the country made her presence felt at an even bigger and better Borderway UK Dairy Expo at Carlisle, when she went on to win her second breed championship and supreme overall champion of champions title here.

Yasmin Bradbury's Peak Goldwyn Rhapsody, a sixth calver in milk from Derbyshire, took the show by storm when she was paraded 14months calved and still giving 45litres per day.  Known as The Tank, she is also a former big winner at AgriScot and at the Great Yorkshire.

The event, which included breed shows of Ayrshires, Brown Swiss, Red and White, Dairy Shorthorn, Jersey, Holstein, saw Jonny Lochhead's Kedar herd from Dumfries dominate the Brown Swiss, taking the champion and reserve tickets.

Mungo Bryson's Ayrshire herd from Whiteflat, Catrine, won the Ayrshires, and the Laird family's Holstein and Jersey herds from Blythbridge also had a pretty good day, winning the intermediate Holstein and honourable mention overall Holstein. Izzy and Colin Laird, Blythbridge scooped the reserve Jersey title.
