A bumper show of cattle and horses saw the top two awards go the respective leaders from their sections at Craigie Show, last week, where the inter-breed judge, John Lamb, Ayr, presented the overall champion of champions to James Nisbet’s well-known commercial heifer, Little Boots, while the reserve honours were awarded to Lyndsay Adamson’s yearling Clydesdale filly, Gal-cal-fra Sweet Kelly.
Taking centre stage, James’ 14-month-old black Limousin cross from Sorn Mains, Sorn, has already taken the commercial championship at Stranraer, Ochiltree and Newmills and the reserve title at the Highland.
Young Lyndsay Adamson (11), Glenside, Plean, was also in the money with her filly, a Glenside Master Tom daughter which stood champion of champions at Kirkintilloch, while her yearling colt, Glenside Renaldo, also by Master Tom won the male Clydesdale honours.
