The champion winner at Gisburn Auction Marts’ pedigree dairy show and sale went on to secure the day’s lead price of £2420, selling to David Coulthurst, Goosnargh, Preston.
The heifer, from Simon Thompson, Ribchester, by Lady-Manor Wildman, was paraded two weeks calved and giving 29kg per day.
Next best at £2280 was a Ladino Park Talent-sired heifer from RL and MS Mares, Darwen, Lancashire, which sold to John Dodgson, Bank Newton, Gargrave, Skipton, North Yorkshire.
And, at £2020, D and J Herd, Hebden, Skipton, sold a three weeks calved heifer, by A Caernarvon Jogger to JH Holden, Darwen, Lancashire.
