The already well-proven Forager X10, manufactured by Blaney Agri, in Co Antrim, has been re-engineered for this winter with improved features.
The one man:one tractor big bale feeder is now 25% stronger, with new drive components and more powerful hydraulics to enable it to handle heavier bales. Innovative new feed out spikes, new bale chamber and unique side rollers are also designed to deal with more difficult bales.
It is also now more compact and its unique safety guards, which protect livestock from injury, are now 50% stronger and more compact. The extra thick 50mm sprung tines are designed for road travel and developed to handle the heaviest bales.
The Forager X10L - a loader/telehandler version of the bale unroller - is also being built to this specification.
Perthshire farmer, Donald Menzies, uses the Forager X10L and is impressed with the savings it brings. "Before I got the ForagerX10L I had to wait at least four hours a day on my diet feeder mixing, tying up my tractor and using a lot of fuel. Now, with the Blaney Forager X10 I get all the feeding done in no time."
