THIS YEAR'S event will be the first opportunity for many UK farmers to view New Holland's T7.315 'Heavy Duty' tractor, plus the T8 series, and the company's FR forager and CX combine.

Following a successful launch at Agritechnica and subsequent customer and dealer days, the New Holland stand will have an impressive 17-model line-up of the company’s machinery range, including the award-winning T7.315.
This is one of a new two-model T7 Heavy Duty series which have a maximum horsepower of 288 or 313 on the T7.290 and T7.315, respectively, while maximum torque of 1282Nm is available over 500rpm with no turbo lag.
Other new machines include the new CX8.80 combine harvester (seen fitted with a 22ft header) and FR Forage Cruiser 650, both of which were launched at Agritechnica. They feature updated premium cabs.
One of the largest and highest horsepower tractors in New Holland’s line up, the new T8 tractor series with Tier 4B engines will also be on parade. These use the latest ECOBlue HI-eSCR technology, which offers improved engine performance and reduced fuel consumption and meet all emissions legislation without the need for additional diesel particulate filters and engine gas re-circulation.
Other equipment on New Holland’s stand includes two machines from its range of construction equipment, including the L220 skid steer and W170 wheeled loader which are now available through selected New Holland dealers across the UK.

Flagship tractor from John Deere
John Deere’s flagship 9620RX tractor will lead the headliners on a busy John Deere stand at LAMMA.
The new four-track 9620RX tractor recently had a starring role in the 2015 Lord Mayor’s Show, in London, in support of the Worshipful Company of Farmers modern livery company and the NFU’s Back British Farming campaign.
It was driven in the parade behind a fully restored John Deere 4020 tractor from the 1960s, to help illustrate technological progress in agriculture and to mark 50 years of John Deere Limited in the UK and Ireland – the company started trading from its present day site at Langar, near Nottingham, in January 1966.
The 4020, nicknamed BEV after its original registration plate, will also be featured alongside the 9620RX on the company’s stand.
Also on show will be the new 8800i self-propelled forage harvester, the range-topping 6155R tractor, the PowrSpray solution system for R900i Series trailed sprayers and both entry level W-Series and redesigned T-Series combine harvester, following their initial European launch at Agritechnica.
The new mid-size 6R Series tractors, including the 6155R, feature the latest Stage IV engines rated from 110 to 155hp, with a high priority on operator comfort and a wide range of transmission options. An intelligent power management system (IPM) provides a 20 to 30hp boost on the four-cylinder models and 40hp on the six-cylinder versions.
These tractors feature CommandARM controls and a Generation 4 CommandCenter touch screen monitor with swipe function display, while the redesigned TLS+ front axle suspension offers improved steering and driving on the road. An electrical loader-ready joystick is also available for use with John Deere’s latest R Series front loaders, which feature new mounting frames and hood guards and are easy to attach and operate.
PowrSpray is the company’s latest innovative development in crop care technology. It features two hydraulically-driven centrifugal pumps – the first fills the sprayer at up to 1200 litres/min, while the second, a 1000 litre/min spraying pump, has direct rate control for fast changes of application rate and spraying accuracy.
The self-priming, low pressure filling pump fills the sprayer rapidly, even with the tractor engine at idle, thus reducing fuel use and noise during the filling process. The spraying pump is able to adjust between minimum and maximum output in less than three seconds, increasing rate control accuracy to a level that conventional systems cannot match, particularly for variable rate applications.
John Deere’s new T-Series combines have undergone a comprehensive redesign for the 2016 harvest. Many components have been changed to achieve the best straw walker combine performance possible, enabling operators to achieve an increase in output of up to 15%. This comes from having the largest active separation area on the market and a larger cleaning shoe area; a fast unloading rate and crop conversion; 40kph top speed and tracks; increased precision farming benefits with ConnectedCombine and MyJohnDeere.com; and more power from the new Stage IV engines.
In addition, the latest FarmSight precision farming developments on show include the MyJobsConnect job management tool and the prototype John Deere Manure Sensing system, which is based on the same HarvestLab near-infrared (NIR) sensor technology used on the 8000 Series foragers.

Warrior fronts Deutz-Fahr stand
DEUTZ-FAHR' show of its key machines will include the impressive new 7 Series TTV Warrior.
Due to the success of the 7250 Warrior, launched earlier last year, Deutz-Fahr has now extended the range to include a number of the higher horse-power 6 Series models – all with a three-year warranty.
The 6 Series versions (one should be on show subject to availability from the factory) includes many of the features found on the 7 Series, such as the distinctive black livery with stainless steel cover over the exhaust, along with a half leather seat and black floor mat. An exclusive LED light package and Xenon beacon lamp.
Like on the 7 Series, the new model also has an optional hydraulic top link and space for seven electrical control devices, PowerBeyond connections and an ISOBUS signal socket.
These tractors will front a stand which will also play host to the 9340 TTV; 6 Series C-Shift; 5 Series; 5 C Series; 5 G Series; Agrovector 33.7; Agrovector 25.7 tractors and the new C9206 TSB Combine.
A second stand will feature the company’s merchandise and an Agrosky technology area.

Kubota's biggest ever presence
Kubota is promising its biggest ever stand at LAMMA where it hopes to show off its ever increasing stable of tractors, including the exciting new M7001 series of higher horse-power tractors which takes its range up to 170hp.
The company will have on its stand all sectors of its business – from agricultural, groundcare, construction, engines, parts, service and finance divisions – at the two-day event in January, on Stand R14.
The three model M7001 range of 130, 150 and 170 hp tractors will feature a year on from its first unveiling at the show. But since its launch, a full-scale production facility has been opened in Northern France in order to cement Kubota’s move into the higher horsepower market.
A key focus for Kubota is on providing a first-rate aftersales service to customers and the team will be on hand to discuss the dedicated packages that are available upon purchase of machinery and parts – such as Kubota Care for M Series tractors and Kubota Finance.
Rob Edwards, Kubota UK’s business development manager for its agricultural division, commented: “We’re dedicated to providing a complete range of solutions at Kubota and ensuring that when customers come to us, we can not only promise them reliable machinery but also a specialised aftersales package that will put their minds at ease should they need assistance.
“LAMMA will give us the perfect opportunity to highlight to visitors why they should put their trust in us and we look forward to showcasing the best of our machinery.”
A wide range of other tractors will be making an appearance on the stand, including models from the M Series (60-100HP), B Series (16-31HP), STW (34-40HP), and L Series compact tractors. The RTV-X900 and diesel powered ride on mowers will also be on show.

New TYM models from Lely
Lely UK is bringing seven TYM tractors to LAMMA – from the smallest, 23hp to the largest 100hp model.
The TYM tractor range is made by Tong Yang Moolsan, in Seoul, South Korea, a company established in 1960, and has more than 48 years of experience designing, manufacturing and distributing tractors and agricultural equipment.
On stand B115, Lely will be showcasing the T233, TS25, T353, T433, T503, T754, which debuted at the show last year, and also the range-topping T1003.
Most of the tractors have a four-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine, apart from the T233 and TS25, both of which have a three-cylinder water-cooled engine. All, though, feature hydrostatic power-steering and a heavy-duty, driven front axle for greater traction.
The tractors can be upgraded with optional heated and air-conditioned cabs, but models without cabs boast a handy feature as well – the ROPS can be folded down for compact, convenient storage under a low roof. They can also be fitted with an array of attachments, such as loaders and backhoes.
* From now until January 31, 2016, Lely is offering a 50% discount on all TYM loaders when purchasing a new tractor.

Versatile Väderstad seeder
SEVERAL NEW features for the Tempo precision seeder range from Väderstad will be launched at the show, with versatility the key ingredient.
As well as a new aluminium seed hopper, they also have a new fertiliser coulter plus the entirely new, three-point linkage Tempo V
The mounted V version is a telescopic machine for up to 12 rows, but can easily be switched from 12 rows at 45cm row spacing to eight rows of 75cm spacing. Its frame is designed so that row units and fertiliser coulters can be moved to any position and odd row numbers (such as nine rows with 600 mm spacing) can also be handled on the same frame.
Lars Thylén, of Väderstad, said: “We’ve developed a precision seed drill on which the row unit can be easily moved to vary row spacing. The result is a precision seed drill that can be easily adapted so that the same machine can be used to sow several different crops at different row spacing. Well-proven technology provides precision regardless of conditions."
The row units – with the PowerShoot technology that is insensitive to vibrations – are the same as on other Tempo models, which means that the precision seed drill can sow at high speed with exacting precision. The coulter pressure of up to 325kg also enables sowing of everything from growing crops to cultivated fields.
Tempo V is available in seven different models. The number of row units varies from six to twelve depending on the model and working widths are between 4.2 and 6.6m.
The new aluminium seed hopper has an emptying hatch for easy cleaning when changing crops and there is also a 22 mm sowing system mounted in the new seed hopper for crops such as pumpkins and large sunflowers.
Väderstad is also launching a new fertiliser coulter, which is narrower, enabling mounting at 45cm row spacing. The new fertiliser coulter features improved capabilities for various depth settings and can handle loads of up to 150 kg.

Hi-Spec's transport tanker
Hi-Spec Engineering will have two new additions to their range on display – the first is a high capacity specialist tanker for use within a high capacity liquid waste handling system, while the second is a larger addition to the Hi-Spec Kompactor ‘compaction/push-off’ trailer introduced earlier this year.
The new 4500 gallon transport tanker aims to help those operating specialist high capacity trailed and self-propelled machines for spreading or injecting digestate, slurry and other liquid waste, by ensuring that downtime waiting or having to return to the farm to refill is kept to a minimum.
This service tanker for ferrying liquid waste to the spreading vehicle in the field, is carried on triple, high road speed axles with hydraulic braking and fitted with 600/50-22.5 tyres. The tank is manufactured from 6mm thick steel and mounted on a full frame chassis to ensure that it is completely supported.
For filling, the tanker is fitted with a high capacity 14,000 litres per minute pump, while at the rear of the tanker there is an 8-inch pipe and cone to accommodate the filling boom from the spreading vehicle.
The larger Kompactor ‘compaction/push-off’ trailer range is 24ft long and has a total capacity of 40 cubic m. It is carried on a triple axle, fitted with air-brakes and front and rear passive steering axles as standard.
As with other models in the range, it features a hydraulically operated headboard for compacting – with the heavy duty tailgate shut, this can be used to compact material such as grass or maize silage, increasing the load carried by up to 80% compared to a conventional trailer. However, it can also be used for transporting bulky materials, such as woodchip or grain.
To empty the Kompactor, having raised the tailgate, the headboard is then fully extended and, depending on the load, has the capacity to completely empty the trailer in as little as 30 seconds. Because the load is pushed off and so avoids the need to tip the trailer body, the Kompactor is ideal for use in areas where conventional tipping trailers cannot access.
Another key benefit is that by using a push-off mechanism and, due to it having a low centre of gravity, all the inherent risks posed by using a tipping trailer are reduced – such as striking overhead power lines or trailer instability when tipping on soft and uneven ground.
The Kompactor chassis incorporates a hydraulically dampened drawbar, through which all the hydraulic and electric lines are routed.
Options include a unique hydraulically operated sliding bogie axle. This allows the axle to be moved by up to 600mm, by moving the axle backwards more weight will be placed on the tractor to increase grip.

Sulky’s first UK exhibition
FRENCH COMPANY, Sulky-Burel's new British subsidiary will be showing in its own right at LAMMA for the first time and promises a strong line-up of innovative equipment for fertiliser spreading, seed drilling and cultivations.
Its stand will feature several new models, including the X40+ mounted spreader with automatic continuous weighing, X50+ Isobus mounted spreader with Econov section control, and the XT 130 trailed spreader, also with the hi-tech section control. The display will include the established DX30+ mounted fertiliser spreader with automatic continuous weighing, which is ideal for grassland.
Several high specification seed drills will also be on show. These include the top of the range XEOS PRO 3.00m combination drill with Cultidisc drilling bar, Xeos TF seed drill with front tank and 4.50m foldable Cultidisc drilling bar, as well as a 6m wide Kronos folding tines seed drill.

SlurryKat's Pantera budget slurry tankers
A NEW low budget, low tech range of slurry tankers has just been launched by Northern Ireland company, SlurryKat, to cater for a growing demand for no nonsense machines will be at LAMMA.
The Pantera range has a basic lower specification design and options list compared to the original premium range of SlurryKat flagship tankers made by the company for larger famers and contractors. There are a number of models available in the range from 1600 to 2750 gallons on a single axle and 2500 to 3500 gallon models on tandem axles.
They are manufactured with steel already shot blasted and finished in high gloss two pack black paint as standard to ensure a long durable protection against corrosion. Tankers can be sprayed in SlurryKat’s flagship red and green colours if the customer desires.
The company's unique internal anti-surge baffle system and full internal welding is also maintained in the range.
SlurryKat’s chief executive officer, Garth Cairns, said: “The vision behind the new Pantera range is to offer the market a more affordable tanker with less specification while still maintaining vital reputable build quality and reliability, something SlurryKat is strongly recognised for in the agri-industry.
“The same high quality components and high tensile steels, Jurop vacuum pumps, axles, wheels and valves that we use to manufacture our premium range of SlurryKat tankers are also fitted to the Pantera range. They are built on the same production line by the same SlurryKat engineers so no cuts have been made to save costs using inferior cheap components.”
Prices start from £7995 for the Pantera 1600 gallon model.

Customers drive new feeder range
Faster bale processing, improved manoeuvrability and a lower power requirement when mixing are among the key features of a new range of Powermix vertical auger diet feeders from manufacturer Shelbourne Reynolds to be launched at LAMMA.
Created in response to user feedback following three years of design work and customer consultation, the Powermix Plus models are twin auger machines in sizes of 16, 18 and 22 m3, all available with single or tandem axles. A shorter, more compact layout means they are easier to manoeuvre around yards, while a simpler design incorporates the chassis into the tub weld assembly
Bale chopping speed has been improved and spillage risk lessened through a new tub shape with smoother sides which also improves material transition between mixing chambers and allows it to move around the tub more freely, thus improving mixing performance and lowering horsepower requirement. The front-mounted door locks into position when closed to provide uninterrupted material flow. Faster chopping times are also attained through horizontally-mounted auger blades, increased auger speed, and a new straw ring design.
With tub and auger wear being a key factor in diet feeder service life and longevity, on Powermix Plus models these elements are engineered from high-grade S500 steel for maximum durability, while the lower tub sidewalls are manufactured using 12.5mm high strength steel, the most heavy-duty material used in this sector. New bolt-on replaceable poly wear pads are available for the auger legs, while a new electric two-speed auger gear change unit is optional.
The front-mounted conveyor system has been revised and enhanced, with a new spring-loaded belt tensioner, while there is also a new front viewing platform. Lighting has also been improved, with a new LED kit fitted as standard.

Tigo range extended
Following the successful introduction of the Lely Tigo PR loader wagon range in 2014, Lely intends to expand its loader wagon range with the introduction of the new Lely Tigo MR and MR Profi, an extension of the current R range of wagons.
There are now four models in the 26-37 DIN m3 capacity range, with the latest Tigo MR 50 and 60 Profi models slotting in at the bottom of the range. These also have the main feature of the Tigo PR, the movable bulk head.
This hydraulically adjustable bulkhead allows the space above the drawbar to be utilised by creating an additional 6m3 in extra capacity. This has resulted in a 1m shorter and more manoeuvrable wagon than comparable machines of the same capacity.
In addition, it allows the crop compaction pressure to be adjusted ensuring the nutritional value and structure of the crop is maintained. This system also cleverly distributes the weight more efficiently during transport, allowing the wagon to handle better on the road.
At the silage clamp, the moveable bulkhead also assists with unloading by reducing pressure on floor chains and the drive mechanism. It provides assistance to the floor drive, by pushing the material rearward. As 10-15% of the material is transported in the bulkhead, this also provides a significant reduction on the force required to get the material moving.
The MR and MR Profi wagons are fitted with a proven five-tine bar camless pick-up, while the main drive of the Lely Tigo MR is made up of an integrated, easy maintenance gearbox with robust straight-cut gears. The drive’s ability to withstand high loads ensures smooth and even operation of the intake and cutting devices.

Welger's flexible baler
A new-generation variable chamber round baler with ultimate flexibility is the boast of the Lely Welger RP 160 V baler, which was launched atAgritechnica and tio be seen in the UK for the first time at LAMMA.
The versatile RP 160 V range guarantees high output, well-shaped high density bales from a newly designed and well tested bale chamber and is the replacement range for the 415 and the 445 baler series.
Fully available for this coming season, there are two basic models, with a wide range of pick-ups, chopping systems and two control units to meet the demands of both farmers and contractors.
The RP 160 V Classic has a basic set-up and is well suited for drier crops, while the RP160 V Xtra has a heavy duty power split gearbox for the heaviest conditions and can be fitted with the Xtracut chopping systems. Large intake, increased output.
Three different sizes of the five-tine-bar high capacity camless pick-up are available – 2m, 2.25m and 2.40m – with four different chopping rotors available and the Xtracut models have a selectable knife bank option enabling the operator to select the amount of knives needed from the comfort of the tractor cab.
A new geometry of the bale chamber, makes bale formation better from the start and the well-proven Constant Pressure System (CPS) delivers high density and well-shaped bales.
The balers also feature a net loading system (ELS) where net rolls are loaded from ground level saving time and effort, while the easily opened guarding doors allow quick access to a second net-roll storage and increased access to the machine for maintenance and inspection. Central greasing banks ensure a high level of comfort for daily maintenance.
The RP 160 V's also have automatic chain lubrication system as standard and a new drawbar is easily adaptable to any type of tractor, with a storage area for the hydraulic hoses ensuring quick coupling to the tractor.
Easy to use E-link controls are also an improvement. These provide the operator with a clear overview of all baler processes on a colour screen, with button controls for direct access to important functions. All adjustments and settings can be made from the tractor cab.

Heavy-duty hedge trimmers
A new line of heavy-duty, contractor-targeted Shelbourne hedge trimmers is being launched at LAMMA by Shelbourne Reynolds.
These have upgrades, including a new mainframe design, greater slew arc, and uprated oil and cooling capacities. The new HD800 machines will be offered alongside three models from the existing HD700 range also made by the Suffolk firm.
There are three telescopic models in the new line, with reach capabilities of 6m, 7m and 8m, and two VFRT (variable forward reach telescopic) variants, providing 6.5m and 7.5m reach, plus up to 4.1m forward/rearward travel. While the established Powerblade HD700 models provide the basis for the HD800 line, the new machines have been almost completely reworked in a three-year design process based on feedback from existing HD700 users.
The new mainframe design around which HD800 machines are built creates a slightly wider platform which, while still keeping the trimmer fully within the width of modern tractors, allows for a layout that improves service access. It incorporates a heavy-duty top link area, forklift shoes for easy out-of-season relocation, and a flip-down foot plus a relocated right-hand stand for improved stability when the trimmer is dismounted from the tractor.
Utilising axle brackets for maximum stability and strength, the design of the new models ensures they mount as closely as possible to the tractor but do not require removal of the lower link arms, making attachment faster and more convenient. All 800 series machines can be either axle or three-point linkage mounted with no modifications to the mainframe required.
HD800 models benefit from a bigger slew cylinder for increased power and strength, and a greater slew angle, increased from 90 degrees to 103 degrees to allow the head to be moved further behind in line with the tractor for road travel. Slew pin size and slew cylinder bush quality have been upgraded to match, and there is an integral slew locking pin.
The heavy-duty pillar is common to all HD800 models, and is designed with an open base to prevent trash build-up, while there is now a stop bolt on both the bottom and the top of the pillar to reduce stress on the slew ram and improve pillar stability. A pivoting bump stop protects the cab, moving out of the way during work, while it’s now also easier to access the wear pads.
A larger lift cylinder provides greater lift capacity for a wider range of heavier heads, while a head movement angle of 248 degrees is common to all machines in the range, courtesy of a larger head angle cylinder with 40mm pivot pins. Reach cylinder size has also been uprated.
To fulfil the capability these upgrades bring, a new hydraulic tank design with a raised filler/breather pipe increases oil capacity by 30 per cent to 222 litres, while cooler and fan size have each been increased by 20 per cent and hose clamp design has been improved.

Several Knights on parade
Knight Farm Machinery will be featuring its latest high-output sprayers in mounted, trailed and self-propelled versions at LAMMA.
Xtra models with vertical-folding booms and tanks up to 1900 litres have joined its range of tractor-mounted machines. The booms fold within the tractor width, giving clear access to the tractor cab, while the lattice design is strong and protects spray-lines and nozzle bodies. Features include remote control of boom functions, a GPS-ready Müller Basic terminal and MAXImiser plumbing with pressure circulation.
With a choice of tank sizes from 3600 to 6000 litres and booms up to 40 metres wide, Knight’s Trailblazer sprayers provide cost-effective high-output performance. A sprung steering axle ensures sprayer wheels follow the tractor very accurately and provides particularly good stability on hillsides, both features reducing crop damage.
The axle and suspension designs reduce machine stress and allow good road speed and MAXImizer boom circulation, which simplifies and speeds up tank filling, is standard equipment on Trailblazer machines.
Knight's self-propelled models are available in two versions with booms from 24 to 40m wide. The SP1800 series machines are available with tanks up to 4000 litres, while tanks up to 6000 litres are available for the SP2000 series.
Both have low-emission EU Stage 4 (US EPA Tier 4) Final engines and Claas-designed premium cabs with air-suspension and exceptional all-round visibility. Category 4 filtration for extra protection against hazardous substances is an optional feature.

Loader part initiative
UK-based loader manufacturer, Alo, will be revealing an exclusive preview of its new Limited Edition loader at LAMMA.
“The new limited edition loader will be available to order from March, and LAMMA offers the perfect platform to reveal it,” said Neil Forknall, managing director for Alo UK.
“As well as the loader, we’ll be showcasing our latest range of original parts for the first time, on a new bespoke display stand, which will be available for dealers to put up on their own sites throughout the UK,” added Mr Forknall.
The parts range includes numerous accessories, spare parts and maintenance kits for Quicke and Trima.
In support of the launch, Alo has also produced a ‘best practice guide’ to encourage loader maintenance. According to Neil, replacing bushes and pins can often be overlooked but it really should be considered as essential maintenance. It improves the precision of the loader and extends loader life.

Key machines from Vicon
Vicon will be showing two key products for the first time in the UK at Lamma, in Hall 1, stand 107.
First up is the Vicon FastBale, its revolutionary non-stop baler/wrapper combination which cleverly integrates a pre-chamber with a main chamber, and a wrapper.
The second new development is the Vicon iXdrive self-propelled sprayer. This latest addition to the Vicon sprayer range is equipped with a 5000-litre tank and has boom options from 24-30m (aluminium) and 24-40m (steel).
The 240hp, hydrostatic iXdrive sprayer offers an impressive array of specification, some of which includes 50:50 weight distribution, disc brakes, GPS auto switching control of up to 15 sections, hydraulic track width adjustment and three different ground clearances.

Yield-boosting crop processor
CLAAS has led the way in corn cracking technology for forage harvesters since they developed the first corn cracking system for the Jaguar back in the late 1980s, when the ability to crack maize kernels on the forager to improve digestibility and increase yields or weight gain was seen as a major step forward.
At LAMMA, it will be displaying a completely new crop processor, the MCC Shredlage, which, it said, provides another major step forward in crop processing technology.
This crop processor is an innovative processing technology for conditioning long-cut maize and the Shredlage process – for which CLAAS has acquired the license – was developed in the USA, where it has already been used successfully by dairy producers for a number of years.
This involves chopping the maize to a long chop length of 26-30mm and the crucial part of the process is the subsequent conditioning using the new cracker technology.
The two LorenCut rollers have 110 and 145 teeth and there is a 50% speed difference between the two. The unique aspect of the rollers is that they also have a counter-rotating spiral groove, so that as the crop passes through the rollers, it is also pulled apart by the sideways movement of the teeth, so that the cob pieces are fully broken down and the kernels crushed to break them open completely.
As a result, the stalk material is shredded very effectively in the longitudinal direction and the bark is peeled off by the special roller structure. This intensive shredding of the material significantly increases the surface area of the chopped crop, which results in much improved bacterial fermentation in the clamp and subsequently during digestion in the rumen of the cow.
Studies by the University of Wisconsin, USA, found that Shredlage significantly increases the structural suitability of maize silage for the rumen, while also improving the availability of starch from all parts of the plant. This resulted in an increase in daily milk production from the herds covered by the study of up to 2.0 litres per cow.

Yardscraper for loader use
Albutt will be showing its latest yardsraper designed for use with telehandlers and loaders.
Offering a push and pull facility and integrated float, Telescrape allows users to yard scrape with a telehandler or loader, thus eliminating the need for a dedicated scraper tractor.
Telecrape features a heavy duty design and galvanised finish for a long operating life. Heavy duty high grade rubbers, 50mm wide, produce a clean surface. Rubbers can be reversed to maximise their operating life.

Cashback for tyres
A new scheme offering up to £400 cashback following purchase of a pair of tractor tyres is being launched by Mitas UK at LAMMA 2016 as part of the company’s introduction of its Premium range of tyres.
These will replace all Continental brand tyres bought as replacements from December 31, 2015, following the successful launch of the new range in OEM markets over the last year, pointed out Mitas UK managing director, Jon Ward, who will host the stand at G33.
“It’s the final stage of our switch away from the well-known Continental brand name to Mitas Premium and we thought it appropriate to mark this in the replacement market with a significant special offer for customers. Anybody purchasing two Mitas VF or SFT in sizes 34 inch and above will be entitled to a £400 cashback with the offer being available on a further eight combinations of tyres and sizes.”
“Deliveries of Mitas Premium tyres have been taking place to manufacturers such as Case IH, Agco, Argo, Claas, John Deere and Same Deutz Fahr throughout 2015. This is a major vote of confidence in the Mitas name for our top of the range tyres and is very much the result of the great reception we have had to the idea from manufacturers, the trade and customers alike,” added Mr Ward.

Implement control via iPad
At LAMMA, Claas will be launching the new ‘Easy on board app’, which opens up completely new operating functionality for the user by means of Isobus communication via an iPad, using a wireless link between the tractor and implement.
By being able to use an existing iPad as a control terminal, this is not only flexible but means that the terminal is not just for the machine, but for the driver. In addition to managing key machine settings and data, online access also enables the operator to access important farm-specific data, applications and information such as customer data, in addition to land management, navigation, e-mail and weather forecasts from the field.
The app uses the integrated ISO universal terminal application (ISO UT) to map the Isobus system of the implement on the tablet, allowing it to be operated via the iPad’s touchscreen.
Being Isobus compatible, means that an iPad can also be used with any Isobus machine from other manufacturers. It can also be used to assign implement functions to the F-keys on the tractor operating lever. Customers who prefer the conventional operating system with the implement terminal can still obtain the terminal.
Initially the app can be used to operate the Rollant 455 Uniwrap baler, the Cargos 8000 dual-purpose wagon, the Liner 3600 and 4000 rakes, plus the the Disco 1100 C Business, 9400 C Duo, 9200 C Business and 9200 C AS disc mowers.
