CAITHNESS Livestock Centre’s office manager, Robbie Gordon, who has been a loyal employee of the Aberdeen and Northern Marts Group at Quoybrae, finishes his full time career at the end of this month.
Mr Gordon started his working life at Wick mart in 1970 after leaving school, and progressed to canvassing in 1986. He later took over the reins from Ian Innes as cashier and canvasser with added overall responsibility for the office.
Employed by the company for 45 years, Robbie celebrated the event with his family, friends and colleagues, at Caithness Livestock Centre, where he was presented with a farewell gift from ANM Group chairman, Pat Machray.
Taking up Mr Gordon’s position in July, is Thomas Fraser, who joins the Group from NFU Mutual, where he currently works as a senior insurance agent.
