A NEW range of telehandlers has been launched by Massey Ferguson as it strives to achieve its full line product strategy – they range in lift up to 3.8 tonnes and are rated at up to 130hp.

Featuring the latest Tier IV final/stage 4 compliant engines, the TH telehandlers range from the semi-compact MF TH.6030, for work in restricted spaces, through to the high capacity MF TH.7038 which is aimed at heavy duty work around the farm.

The semi-compact format offers two cab positions and high manoeuvrability thanks to its short wheelbase and narrow chassis (5.71 x 2.1m). A low cab version offers access to height-restricted buildings at just 2.1m tall, though it can still lift three tonnes to 6m.

With a more powerful 130hp engine, the MF TH.6534 excels in transport and features 190l/min hydraulic flow for faster cycle times. It can hoist 3.4 tonnes to 6.5m.

For extra reach and lift capacity, the MF TH.7035 combines a 100hp engine with the ability to lift 3.5 tonnes and has a maximum reach of 7m.

The biggest in the range is the 130hp MF TH.7038, which has a maximum lift capacity of 3.8 tonnes and to a height of 7m. It has the top rated 190 litres/min hydraulic pump.

All have three selectable steering modes – two-wheel steer, four-wheel steer and crab-steer – and feature a new 3.4l four-cylinder Tier 4 final Doosan engine.

The engine installation and basket design has lowered the height of the engine for improved right hand side visibility, and there's a reinforced bonnet with a bigger opening.

A fan inverter, a proven feature from the MF 9000 Series telehandler, is also available with an automatic option to keep the engine clean for maximum efficiency.

The hydrostatic transmission has a unique four-speed (two mechanical/two hydraulic) system that allow accurate control during material handling. The two mechanical gears offer road speeds up to 40km/h.

Load sensing hydraulics means all functions are electro-hydraulic and proportional for accuracy and work load. To keep comfort levels up, cushion retract is now fitted to the boom.

The cab's curved shape and new engine bonnet design combine with the low boom pivot point to give an allround view of the machine. Access is also easy, with a large opening door, while all controls are designed to fall easily to hand.
