A NEW range of agri-designated telescopic loaders has been launched by Bobcat and they will come with a three-year warranty.
Manufactured at the company’s plant at Pontchâteau, in France, there's now a choice of five new telescopic loader models for the farming market, covering maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 3.8 tonnes with lifting heights of 6-7m.
Their naming system denotes lifting capacity/lifting height performance at a glance – they are the TL26.60 and TL30.60 Compact productivity models; the TL35.70, TL34.65HF and TL38.70HF Productivity and High Flow models.
European versions are powered by a Bobcat/Doosan D34 Stage IV/Tier 4 final compliant diesel engine
This compact engine range and a new styled low profile engine hood have improved visibility on the engine side of the handlers.
Three outputs are available: one of 75hp/325 Nm, without diesel engine fluid (DEF) injection and with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC); another rated at 100 hp/430 Nm, with DOC and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) with DEF injection after-treatment technologies; and the range-topping 130hp/500 Nm unit with DOC, SCR and DEF injection.
The TL34.65HF is a high capacity model which will take 3.4 tonnes to a maximum lift height of 6.42m. Its high flow technology hydraulic system – also available on the TL38.70HF model – produces 190 litre/min from the load sensing pump.
Bobcat said the benefit of this was to allow users to work at significantly lower speeds, consume less fuel and reduce shorter working cycles. The load sensing pump supplies oil only when power is needed, though the full volume is available immediately because of the system's quick start technology.
Both the TL26.60 and TL30.60 are available with two different heights as the cab can be mounted in two different ways – in a low position that results in a 2.1 m height or a higher position to optimise visibility.
On the TL35.70, which replaces the TL470, there is an improved load capability of 500kg, up to 3500kg, at the maximum lifting height of 6.97m. The TL470HF's replacement, the TL38.70HF, gets a 300kg increase from 3.5 to 3.8 tonnes in rated capacity.
New features include power lift that optimises the use of hydraulic flows between boom cylinders to increase lifting capacity; there's an automatic parking brake; automatic fan inverter to clean the air filter; and boom cushion on retract that that automatically slows down the boom speed when the boom is nearly in.
Drivers will welcome an adjustable air suspension seat plus some smart operating features, such as SMS (speed management system), which allows the travel speed to be adjusted independently of the engine speed; SHS (smart handling system), which allows the speed of the boom movements to be adjusted; and AFM (auxiliary flow management), which adjusts hydraulic output to match attachment requirements.
