THE LATEST versions of JCB's TM320 and TM320S telescopic wheeled loaders promise greater productivity, lower running costs and a better operator environment.

These heavy-duty loaders have JCB's EcoMAX engine which meets EU Stage IV/US Tier 4 Final emissions without using a diesel particulate filter. Both feature improved boom extension cylinder end damping and the reversible engine cooling fan is now electronically controlled and programmable.

Work lights are bigger and brighter and new self-greasing bronze graphite bearings all around the machine have greater service intervals.

The JCB TM320 and TM320S are the two biggest machines in a four-model line-up of articulated telescopic wheeled loaders, which includes two compact machines with lift capacities of 1800kg and 2200kg.

The larger models have 3200kg of lift capacity, which is available at full lift height of 5.2m and 1750kg of lift at their full forward reach 2.95m ahead of the front wheels.

The TM320 has a 4.4-litre version of the EcoMAX engine and is rated at 125hp, with a six-speed JCB Powershift transmission with 40kph capability, while an upgraded powertrain and hydraulics give the TM320S higher performance from a 4.8-litre EcoMAX engine pushing out 145hp and working through a six-speed JCB Powershift transmission.

They both use an SCR to keep emissions down but don't use diesel particulate filters (DPF) which can be a costly to maintain.

Also helping with running costs is the fact that daily checks for engine oil, coolant and washer fluid levels are now completed from the driver’s seat during engine start-up.
