WHILE ITS robot tractors took centre stage on its stand at SIMA, there was still plenty of more conventional innovations for farmers to look at on the Case IH stand.

A new low profile version of its recently launched Quantum speciality tractors was on parade. In addition to new 'family' styling, all Quantums now feature new mid-mounted hydraulic couplers with high flow pump options.

Inside the cab there's a cab filtration system on the Quantum V (vineyard), N (narrow) and F (fruit) models, which have minimum widths of 1063mm for the V, 1228mm for the N, and 1382mm for the F. The low profile CL model has a height of just 2377mm and its wider 1567mm stance make it suited for working on hillsides.

The Quantums have a 2600kg lift capacity at the rear and there is a 82-litre/minute hydraulic pump option on all to cater for implements with a high oil flow requirement.

Transmission options are a 16F/16R synchro shuttle, a 16F/16R power shuttle, or a 32F/16R power shuttle with two-speed power shift to match the low maintenance FPT 3.4-litre engine.

For machines further up the food chain, Case IH unveiled a number of developments to its range of precision farming technologies, including AccuTurn, a new option which automates the process of turning on the headland and entering the next chosen pass. There's also added accuracy for tramline following.

Also on show were the benefits of the Case IH RTK+ network, designed to provide seamless correction signal coverage for minimum downtime when working with RTK accuracy. This is accurate down to 2.5cm and is available in most of the arable areas of the UK.
