NEW ENGINES now feature in the Krone BiG X 700/770 forage harvester models.
These mid range models are now powered by Liebherr V8 engines, which have twice as long service intervals – engine oil and filters are only changed after 1000 engine hours – than the previous engines.
Greater elasticity from the engine bay also offers plenty of torque back-up for operating variable crop conditions, said Krone at the launch in Paris last week.
The familiar PowerSplit and ConstantPower features remain, though, which will make it easier for current operators who buy the new machines.
