New Holland hopes to raise the stakes on bale density, productivity and reliability with its new BigBaler 1290 Plus large square baler.
It promises up to 10% more density with a heap of Smart Baling technology. This latest baler marks 30 years of experience in making big square balers and is designed to work in hay and forage operations, for straw and biomass.
New Holland said the high density means fewer bales per acre, less time to collect the bales, and fewer bales to transport – all of which translates into lower costs per bale. To achieve this it has a 80 cm longer baler chamber over the previous model and it has a double knot system to cope with the high bale density, but with lower knotting strain.
Easy operation also comes from the latest IntelliCruise technology that automatically regulates tractor ground speed to output and it is fully ISOBUS compatible for single screen technology.
Packer shaft diameter has been increased from 5.8 cm to 7.6 cm and a bigger drive chain handles the extra strain from the PackerCutter models.
