MF also launched its 20-strong latest generation of FL front loaders recently at the SIMA Show, in Paris, to replace the 9000 series – including four additional models.

These incorporate the latest technology, including the availability of an advanced in-cab terminal, which offers dynamic weighing, which will be especially useful for loading feed wagons and the like.

Designed to work with MF tractors ranging from 75hp to 400hp, there's 16 self-levelling, parallel linkage models which have lift heights from 3.5m to 5m and capable of handling 1.5-3.3 tonnes. Four non-self levellers – with 2.2-2.7 tonnes – can lift from 3.5-4m.

Precision control can comes thanks to MF’s novel, multi-function armrest-mounted joystick option, which also mixes and matches the ideal transmission functions.

Their curved arm design adds strength and visibility, said MF's Campbell Scott, while the hydraulic system's enclosed pipework also makes the working view easier. That can also be made better by opting for the Visioline roof option on the tractor cab and the SpeedSteer option for manoeuvrability.

A ‘brake to neutral’ feature automatically selects neutral when the brake is depressed, which means the operator needs to use just one pedal, while shuttling forwards and back is simple thanks to the left-hand PowerControl lever.

The weighing option is said to not interfere with loading operations and, as well as weighing the load during lift cycles, can store totals and export records to a USB memory stick.
