German compact machinery specialist, Kramer, will be bringing two of its recently launched eight-strong stable of new telehandlers to the Highland.
With stacking heights from 7-9m, these are aimed at complementing its existing range of wheeled loaders, telescopic wheeled loaders and smaller telehandlers.
At Ingliston will be newcomers, the KT356 and KT557, plus a smaller KT276 from the existing compact range.
The new telehandlers feature Kramer’s standard four-wheel steer and four-wheel drive configuration, which makes them specialists in confined spaces, with rough terrain.
The new range is divided into two classes – the compact KT306, KT356, KT307 and KT357 (at the show) models, offering stacking heights of 6-7m, with payloads of 3 and 3.5 tonne; and four larger units, the KT447, KT507, KT557 (on show) and the KT559. These have stacking heights of 7-9m and payloads of 4.4, 5 and 5.5 tonnes, depending on model.
The compacts are just 2.3m in both width and height and come well-equipped, but can be specified with a variety of useful options.
All the larger models have load sensing and Ecospeed transmission as standard but also have ‘Smart Driving’ – a system that automatically lowers engine rpm when travelling at speed to reduce consumption.
A driver assistance system system continuously monitors the load condition and prevents the machine from becoming unstable, and they all have automatic bucket return, vibration dampening and improved all-round visibility.
