A STRATEGIC alliance with machinery giant, John Deere, means that Kramer-Werke's telehandlers will get a step up in the European market.

This long-term agreement covers Kramer's full range of 22 'green line' wheeled loaders and telehandlers which will now be available from John Deere dealers across Europe.

One of the most recent dealer appointments to benefit from this is in Scotland. Thomas Sherriff and Company, will sell the marque from its six depots covering East and West Lothian and the Scottish Borders.

And they will get some up-to-date tackle to sell. New to Kramer's extensive range is a series of eight telehandlers with stacking heights from 6 to 9m.

Like all Kramers, these will feature a rigid chassis, plus four-wheel-drive and four-wheel-steer for top level manoeuvrability, stability and traction.

These are divided into two classes, with the compact KT306, KT356, KT307 and KT357 models offering stacking heights of 6 and 7m with payloads of 3-3.5 tonnes. The four larger units, the KT447, KT507, KT557 and KT559, have stacking heights of 7-9m and payloads of 4.4, 5 and 5.5 tonnes, depending on the model.

The compact range is ideal for smaller farms, being just 2.3m in both width and height and well-equipped as standard, but can be specified with a variety of options for different applications.

The KT356 and KT357, plus all the larger models, are fitted with load sensing hydraulics and Kramer's variable, high-speed gearbox (Ecospeed) for road travel up to 40 km/h.

As standard, all the new telehandlers also feature Kramer's driver assistance system, 'Smart Driving', which has three operational modes for economical, safe and precise operation. This continuously monitors load condition and prevents the machine from becoming unstable at any time, said Kramer.
