DEUTZ-FAHR has revised its C7000 and C9000 Series combines and is launching four new 'sloping ground' models.

The C7205 TSXB, C7206 TSXB, C9205 TSXB and C9206 TSXB machines can compensate for gradients up to 28% uphill, 22% laterally and around 5% downhill.

Mainstay of this is the new rear levelling system (called Extra Balance), which is controlled from the cab and operates independently of the tried-and-tested company's Balance system on the front axle.

The uniform weight distribution on the four-wheel-drive combines, means that they can cope with dodgy working conditions, while still staying within 3.50m for transport.

There is also a unique anti-skid system, which allows the machine to work in extreme conditions more safely.

The Commander cab has been updated, with the latest Commander joystick in control of all major functions. Coupled to new Commander control management software (CMM) with its 7-inch LED touchscreen display, this provides real-time monitoring of harvester performance. For the first time it can store performance data from the harvesting operation.

It also has the ability to store machine settings for different crop types. This means the driver can select factory-programmed settings for each main crop type – and this data can be uploaded to a second combine harvester, saving valuable time.

The air conditioning system is easier to control and has an autoclimate function, while behind the driver there are dual inspection windows to the grain tank.

Further down the Deutz-Fahr food chain, the C6205 completes the 6000 range with a new design, extra innovation available to the operator comfort and advanced systems managing engine emissions.

This five straw walker machine is 'aimed at medium-sized farms' and is powered by a Deutz TCD 6.1l T4F engine of 230hp. Engine management responds to peaks in load without losing productivity.

All models in the range are now equipped with high-performance cutter bars in widths from 4.2-6.3m as standard, or they can be specified with a Varicrop header of up to 6.5m – this has a hydraulic system which can extended the cutter head by up to 700mm.

All headers are available with Autocontrol and the Schumacher Easy Cut II system, which is proven in tough conditions.

The C6205 (and C6205 TS with turbo-separator) have a threshing system with the same design as their six straw walker big brothers.

Separation capacity is maximised by a 600m wide drum and fully adjustable concave system; while a segmented concave provides even greater threshing options.

Crop goes from the straw walker to the grain preparation pan, which then evenly distributes the crop in a uniform before reaching the upper sieve. There, it gets a pre-sieve which creates a double jump to slow down the crop before the main cleaning process takes place.

The C6205 has two overlapping sieves for a total surface area of 5.28 m2, with the benefit of a contribution from the ventilation system with its cross flow turbine.

This compact combine, though, has a turbine fan as standard to blow air across the width of the combine, reducing the dead zones where the grain isn't cleaned.

Also keeping the sample clean is the DGR, a unique recovery system that takes material from below the sieves and sends it back to the grain preparation pan, passing through two beaters to shell any uncleaned product.

These 6000 combines comes with the Commander Evo II cab where drivers get touch panel commands of all threshing functions. The control of the transmission and activation of the main functions are integrated in the latest-generation Commander joystick control.
