LOG CUTTER this novel log processor from the makers of the Quickfencer fencing wire dispensing system is designed to produce large billets for use in biomass burners.
It can be mounted on a tractor and loaded separately or on a telehandler or loader with the optional grab for self-loading.
A pair of 22.5-tonne hydraulic rams operate the vee-blade that cuts through logs up to 14in diameter and pushes the 18in length against a splitting blade. Withdrawing the blade allows the log to drop into position for the next cut.
The company also showed a post driver for steel posts - with a small square inset for intermediate posts and a round inset for 75mm strainer posts, plus a vibrating hammer to drive the strainers into the ground
