PLOUGH MAKER Tim Hubert, of Suffolk-based farm machinery business Agri-Hire, is filling the void left by Dowdeswell Engineering's closure by building his own ploughs.
Agri-Hire is a long-standing Dowdeswell dealer with its own advanced manufacturing equipment, which is used for building the manure spreader for sale and hire. Hubert 'AH' ploughs will produce the structural components and source wearing parts from Dowdeswell Parts Services, which continues to make these components in the West Midlands.
The Hubert AH2145 displayed is similar to Dowdeswell's DP145 in-furrow and on-land reversible; the lighter AH2141 in-furrow and AH2170 crawler models are also planned
