FOR CASH-STRAPPED farmers the new special edition Isuzu D-Max Fury could not have come at a better time.

Available from September on contract hire from just £215 plus VAT per month, it is firmly aimed at budget-conscious buyers. But Isuzu haven't skimped to achieve the low price - it has a unique paint-job (Magma Red metallic), 17-inch five-spoke grey alloy wheels, dark grey metallic finish to the front grille - complete with a fiery red Isuzu logo at its centre - and black door and tailgate handles. Gun metal grey heavy-duty side steps complete the exterior look.

Inside, the Fury has unique red stitching to key contact points such as the steering wheel and gear knob and dedicated Fury-emblazoned carpet mats. Customers also have the option to upgrade the interior seat upholstery to a special black and red leather combo.

William Brown, general manager at Isuzu UK, told The Scottish Farmer: "Since it was announced earlier this month, the Fury has had a great reception from the dealers and prospective customers. We want to ensure it appeals to the head as well as the heart and contract hire pricing from just £215 per month certainly helps it to stand out from its competitors."

Like all Isuzu models sold in the UK, it will come with the company's five-year, 125,000 mile warranty and is capable of 38.7 mpg on the combined cycle.

* Initial payment £1289.52 plus VAT followed by 35 monthly rentals of £214.92 plus VAT.
