THERE’S A bit more oomph been added to EP Barrus’ Cub Cadet Big Country 4x4 utility vehicle, which now comes fitted with a new Yanmar engine.
This new power unit gives it 5% more hp – at 21hp compared to 20hp than the previous Caterpillar-engined model – and it comes with a two-year warranty on the motor, plus a one-year commercial warranty on the whole unit.
A side-by-side ATV, the Cub Cadet is viewed as a small workhorse for out on the farm and features four-wheel, fully independent double A-arm suspension and a wide wheelbase offering superb stability on rough terrain.
Though it has a fairly dinky foot-print, it still has an impressive 14.4³-feet cargo box volume that can carry up to 409kg at its 25mph top speed.
The oily bits include an automotive-style half shaft drive design that is fully enclosed for maximum protection. It also has all four-wheel hydraulically actuated 20cm disc brakes and its associated circuit master cylinder to give the wee Cub plenty of stopping power.
Prices start at around £10,300, but you will have to add £400 if you want the popular camouflage paint job.
